Accessibility Policy

Last update: 06/11/2024

At Chronoglass, we are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible digital experience for all our users, including people with disabilities. This accessibility policy defines our commitment to making our website accessible, our accessibility standards, and the measures we are putting in place to promote barrier-free browsing for all.

1. Accessibility objective

We strive to ensure equitable access to our website by providing reasonable accommodations and following accessibility best practices. Our goal is to make our site usable by everyone, without discrimination related to the user’s physical, sensory or cognitive abilities.

2. Accessibility standards

Chronoglass undertakes to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, levels A and AA, drawn up by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These standards are recognized worldwide for promoting the accessibility of digital content.

We also follow the Normes sur l’accessibilité des sites Web du Québec (SGQRI 008 3.0) and continually update our practices to align our site with technological developments and accessibility expectations.

3. Accessibility measures and tools

To ensure the accessibility of our site, we have implemented several tools and measures:

a) Browser compatibility

Our site is compatible with recent versions of the most popular browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Safari). The use of obsolete versions, such as Internet Explorer, is not recommended, as they may adversely affect the user experience.

b) Accessibility validation

We carry out regular accessibility checks to ensure that our site meets the highest standards of digital accessibility. These checks include analyzing structural elements, checking color contrasts and testing with assistive technologies to ensure that content is accessible to all, including people with visual limitations.

We apply the recommendations of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and adjust our site to provide an inclusive user experience.

c) Alternative content

Non-decorative graphic elements are accompanied by alternative text descriptions, so that they can be interpreted by screen readers. Purely decorative elements are ignored so as not to detract from the user experience for the visually impaired.

d) Description of main icons

We use icons to improve navigation and user experience. The following descriptions are assigned to the main icons:

  • Return to home page
  • Open main menu
  • Open search bar
  • Link to contact page
  • Open visual accessibility options

4. Non-compliant content

Some content, such as downloadable or multimedia documents from third parties, may not comply with accessibility standards due to technological or time constraints. Chronoglass undertakes to provide, on request, support for access to such documents. However, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of certain external content or third-party applications that are not under our control.

5. Continuous Improvement Process

a) Evaluation and recommendations

Chronoglass regularly carries out accessibility audits, which provide us with recommendations for improving the accessibility of our site.

b) Training

Our technical teams receive ongoing training on accessibility practices and development methods that comply with current standards.

c) Supplier selection

We give preference to content providers who demonstrate a commitment to digital accessibility. Chronoglass also informs all its suppliers of the importance of complying with accessibility standards.

d) User testing

We carry out periodic tests, both automated and manual, to verify that our site meets accessibility criteria. These tests include checks with screen readers and other assistive technologies.

6. Accessibility Contact and Returns Policy

If you are having difficulty navigating our site or would like to request a specific adjustment, please contact us at info@chronoglass.com. Our team will do its utmost to offer you the necessary assistance as soon as possible.

7. Periodic Policy Review

This Accessibility Policy will be reviewed and revised on a regular basis to ensure that it remains aligned with best practice and developments in accessibility. Chronoglass is committed to continuously adapting its website to meet the needs of all users, including those with limitations.
