Acoustics

Acoustic glass, offered by Chronoglass in laminated or insulated versions, provides effective noise control without sacrificing natural light. Ideal for office partitions, it guarantees a quiet, secure environment.

Description

Qu'est-ce que le verre accoustique ?

Acoustic glass is specially designed to reduce noise while allowing natural light to pass through. There are two main types: acoustic laminated glass and acoustic insulating glass. Acoustic laminated glass is made up of two or more sheets of glass joined by elastic interlayers, with a sound-absorbing layer inserted between the standard interlayers. The result is a sound reduction index (Rw) of up to 40 dB for 12 mm glass. In the event of breakage, the shards remain attached to the film, providing additional security.

Acoustic insulation glass, on the other hand, consists of two panes of glass separated by a layer of air or gas, further enhancing sound insulation. Mainly used in offices, acoustic glass ensures a peaceful, comfortable working environment by attenuating external noise, while maintaining a modern, bright aesthetic.
