Heat-Strengthened glass

Heat-strengthened glass undergoes a thermal tempering process that doubles its strength compared with standard annealed glass. Ideal for applications requiring greater strength, this type of glass offers enhanced protection against wind loads and thermal variations.

Heat-Strengthened glass

Thanks to advanced heat treatment, heat-strengthened glass effectively resists mechanical and thermal stress. Although not a safety glass, it shatters into large fragments temporarily held together by an adhesive, providing partial protection until replacement.

Semi-tempered glass undergoes thermal tempering to improve its compressive strength (3,500 to 7,500 PSI). This process makes the glass more resistant to climatic variations and wind loads, while retaining its chemical properties and initial transparency. In the event of breakage, the perimeter adhesive retains the fragments temporarily, minimizing the risk of exposure. This glass is available in clear, ultra-clear, tinted, Low-E and reflective finishes, to suit construction projects requiring enhanced durability.
